My Picks : World Cup – Day 2

After yesterdays kick-off to FIFA World Cup 2022, We have a first full 3 game match day today. Betting only on 1 game, and its Qatar – Ecuador is not pleasing for me, but today’s match ups got some good betting opportunities in my opinion. Here are my betting picks for today’s games.

England – Iran

Lions are the first of real favorites for the tournament starting up their campaign today versus one of the weakest Iranian national team. After disappointing loss against Italy in Euro 2020 and Semi-final exit against Croatia on last Mundial, It’s championship or bust for England. It would be foolish to bet against “The Three Lions” today, I expect England to win with big margin today.

My Pick – Asian Handicap England (-1.5) – 2.21

Senegal – Netherlands

Netherlands is second title contender to take start their campaign today against very handsome Senegal team.After yesterdays very dominant performance by Ecuador, both teams,especially Senegal will look to score some points and not give Ecuador early advantage in race for Knockout stage spots. Although Dutch national team is objectively favored by the bookies, I’m still gonna go with very important draw for Senegal as my pick.

My Pick – Draw – 3.65

USA – Wales

Arguably the most important game of the day is between Team USA and Wales on prime time. Both teams are directly competing with each other to secure second qualifying spot in Group B. Team USA has had its ups and downs recently, missing the last World Cup and causing big overhaul in the system,while Welsh have been pretty consistently solid for recent European championships. To be fair, Wales was outplayed in their final qualifying stage match against Ukraine, but their fighting spirit and perseverance booked their ticket to Qatar. It’s very tight between the two but I have to give slight edge to the Team USA.

Conclusion

For Me,FIFA World Cup has been most consistent and somewhat predictable tournament in the past to bet on. This is my first bet slip of this years Mundial and let’s hope to get a solid start.
